A tower serves as the entrance and links the main wing of the house to the guest quarters. The entry under the tower is like a breezeway with barn doors on each side and dark interior finishes of a tack room. The new house and barn face a courtyard incorporating the remains of old farm buildings.

The house is like a village of small Greek Revival houses surrounding a south-facing courtyard sheltered from the wind.

This gambrel-roofed house is a good neighbor to its old summer community. It is respectful yet light-hearted, playing off symmetry and asymmetry.

Sited dramatically on a bluff, this modern synthesis of Shingle Style and Arts and Crafts architecture gains interest from the way it bends and meanders to follow the contours of the land. The angled wings dynamically shift and overlap.
