A complete renovation of a small row house (780 sf) in East Boston. The existing stair cut the floor plan in half, so we rotated it 90 degrees to open up the space and become a feature on both floors of the house. Built-in furniture such as the couch and sidebar save space in a small house. We also salvaged and reused windows, doors, cabinets, and countertops to keep material costs to a minimum.
A new shed becomes a feature in a narrow rear yard garden.
