Sam Kenneway
Architectural Designer
Sam joined ART in 2024 while pursuing his Master of Architecture at the Boston Architectural College. When he was studying at the University of Massachusetts, he worked at a woodworking shop in Newport, Rhode Island, where he developed a respect for the care and skill behind handmade craft. After graduating, he joined a timber framing crew at a historic Newport mansion before later practicing classical architecture in New York City. These experiences strengthened his appreciation for craftsmanship and the traditional detailing that lends buildings their character.
As a lifelong New Englander, Sam is inspired by ART’s commitment to the region’s architectural heritage. At ART, he has contributed to a diverse range of projects, from local historic preservation efforts to timber frame designs on a remote island off the coast of Maine.
Outside the office, Sam enjoys skiing and hiking in the mountains, swimming and scuba diving along the coast, and studying topographic maps in preparation for the next adventure.
