August Ventimiglia

August rejoined ART for select projects in early 2026, previously having worked with the firm from 2001 to 2008. August’s design and planning experience ranges from residential and multi-unit hospitality projects to retail and museum and exhibit design. He has a particular interest in small-scale rural structures that respond to the land and history of their setting and values the labor and craft of builders.

He studied anthropology and fine arts at the University of Pennsylvania and design, drawing, and sculpture at Maine College of Art. In addition to his work in architecture, August is a visual artist whose artwork explores themes of ecology, sound, and time.

August lives and works in Wellesley. He is an amateur musician and loves being outdoors cross-country skiing, hiking, and canoeing inland and oceanic waterways.
